2021 FORD F-150 Shelby Super Snake Sport

In 2021, famous US tuning house, Shelby American released their iteration of Ford’s F150 muscle truck at Monterey car week which they aptly named the Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport. It’s the most powerful street truck that Shelby has ever made and ranks amongst the most powerful street trucks of this era.

This Shelby Ford F150 Super Snake Sport is certainly a rare commodity, with only 300 vehicles being offered for the US and Canadian market, where it was available in a two-door and four-door configuration.

The truck is a statement in itself. Developed to take on fierce competitors, this supercharged Shelby F150 packs some serious horsepower given its displacement compared to rivalling performance trucks such as the Ram TRX and Hennessey Goliath Silverado.

The 5.0 V8 engine had a serious power bump thanks to Shelby, where it now produces 775HP and will reach 0-62 in 3.5 seconds, thanks to a huge Whipple 3.0 supercharger that is mounted on top of the Coyote V8.

A handful of other performance enhancements have also been undertaken including a performance air intake with a high flow filter, billet throttle body, high flow fuel injectors, Shelby Borla performance exhaust and Fox adjustable coilover shocks fitted front and rear.

The Vehicle

This motor car has been imported under temporary admission customs bond. In addition to the ‘hammer’ price, the winning bidder must pay the buyers premium as well as import tax and duty. In the UK there is VAT on the ‘hammer’ price, plus 10% duty + VAT. So, for example, if the car sells for £120,000 there will be £5,000 premium + £1,000 VAT, plus £24,000 VAT on the ‘hammer’, plus £12,000 duty + £2,400 VAT (so, £164,400). If the winning bidder plans to export the car immediately, they should enquire with the authorities in their country as to what amount of import tax will be payable.

Brought to the UK in 2022, this left-hand-drive example has yet to be registered in the UK. Being truck number 101 of 300 vehicles, originally intended for the North American market, it is highly unlikely that you will see another one on the road in the UK, especially in this particular configuration.

The vehicle itself shows just 25 miles on the odometer and still has all the dealer and running-in stickers applied to the interior of the vehicle. This is arguably a once in a lifetime chance to own a vehicle from one of America’s oldest and most famous tuning houses.

Leaving the Ford factory and heading to Shelby American, the F150 received the following upgrades: Shelby-engineered 775HP supercharger, blower and intake manifold powder coated Ford Racing Blue, performance air intake with high flow filter, oversized carbon fibre air intake, performance aluminium heat exchanger, upgraded billet throttle body, upgraded high performance fuel injectors, upgraded high performance spark plugs which have been gapped to .028, upgraded high performance motor oil (5W50), Shelby-tuned Borla performance exhaust and Baer brake system. That’s a whole lot of work, but it doesn’t stop there.

Shelby also applied changes to the suspension which includes: front Ridetech/Fox adjustable coilover shocks, rear Ridetech/Fox adjustable shocks, replacement upper control arms with adjustable camber control, performance rear traction bars and performance rear sway bar. With all of the aforementioned suspension and handling upgrades, Shelby has allowed the customer to be able to set up their vehicle to suit their specific needs, whether that be track driving, fast road driving or drag racing.

On the Outside

The truck is finished in Velocity Blue with contrasting matte black racing stripes which stretch the full length of the truck, including the tonneau cover, which is an additional feature from Shelby. Most noticeable is Shelby’s optional chrome package which features chrome 22” alloy wheels and chromed dual side exit exhaust.

Additionally, the F150 benefits from upgraded exterior styling parts which are totally unique to the tuning house. The bonnet and front bumper have been changed to one that incorporates vents to aid further engine cooling.

This Shelby Super Snake looks absolutely fantastic under the sunlight and in the shade. As one would expect from a vehicle with such few miles, the bodywork is in superb condition with no dents, dinks, or other damage that we could see. Have a close look at the photos, and satisfy yourself as to the condition. The flanks are free of any ripples and the paintwork appeared to be free of any imperfections such as swirl marks or buff trails.

It’s also worth noting that the bumpers, badges, light lenses, windows and trims are also in excellent condition with no marks or damage that we could see, and still have a nice sheen to them. Again, interested parties should view the detailed photos below.

Stones have yet to come into contact with this vehicle, but we suggest that the new owner of this truck invests in PPF to protect the famous Shelby branding and front of the truck as its tall and wide stance will make it fairly susceptible to stone chips.

Overall, as one would expect, the exterior of the car presents as the delivery-mileage vehicle that it is.

On the Inside

Any Ford enthusiast will instantly recognise many of the materials used within the truck. The dashboard and steering wheel feature carbon fibre accents throughout and contrast beautifully with the Nappa leather.

The carbon fibre and darkened wood veneer looks fantastic. The passenger side of the vehicle incorporates a plaque that has the unique Shelby serial number embossed into it and re-confirms the trucks high-end stature.

The seats have been re-upholstered to incorporate Shelby branding, with ‘Super Snake Sport’ embossed into the seats with contrasting red stitching on the seats, which is an option from Shelby.

The door cards, headlining, dashboard and switches are all in excellent condition in line with the rest of the car, and seem to work as intended, with no damage or imperfections to report.

This Shelby Ford F150 needs absolutely nothing. The engine bay is well presented with all fluids displaying correctly. The only fault we could find, if we were being super picky, is that it could do with a wipe over as the Whipple supercharger has collected some dust.

The truck starts as it should, with the 5.0 Coyote engine roaring into life and idling with a deep harmonious sound. The truck was moved around whilst being photographed and we can confirm that it moves between drive and reverse flawlessly with nothing untoward to note.

The underside retains the ongoing theme and is clean and free from any debris and detritus.

As can be seen from the images, the markings from the factory are still visible on parts of the chassis rail underneath the bed. The Borla branding is visible on the stainless steel backbox.

History Highlights

Three year or 36,000 mile warranty from Ford. That’s it. Nothing else to add because this car is essentially brand new. With it not yet registered for the UK road, the new owner will be the first UK owner, although I dread to think what the road tax will be.

The truck does come with the vehicle handbook which is still in its cellophane wrap. There are an assortment of bits and pieces which can be found in the glovebox such as the locking wheel nut and screws for the licence plate holder.

What We Think

If you’re looking for a new toy that is totally unique and will out-perform almost anything else on the road, then look absolutely no further. We can almost guarantee you that you will not see another one on the road, especially in this configuration. Given this performance and rarity, we think this one will sell for somewhere between £120,000 and £150,000.

Viewing is always encouraged, and this particular car is located in a bonded warehouse in Chedburgh, Suffolk. To arrange an appointment please use the Contact Seller button at the top of the listing. Feel free to ask any questions or make observations in the comments section below, or try our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’. Photo ID will be required for viewing.

Bidders MUST ensure they are aware of the registration situation of a car in auction, and whether it will be possible to export/register a vehicle in their country BEFORE they bid.

All vehicles MUST BE COLLECTED WITHIN 7-DAYS of the auction end. Storage fees of £180 + VAT apply (per week) thereafter without exception.

If needed, Footman James classic car insurance and Classic Concierge offer storage can offer you options, plus we have a list of contacts who can help with transport and shipping both domestic and international.

BORING, but IMPORTANT: Please note that whilst we at The Market always aim to offer the most descriptive and transparent auction listings available, we cannot claim they are perfect analyses of any of the vehicles for sale. We offer far greater opportunity for bidders to view, or arrange inspections for each vehicle thoroughly prior to bidding than traditional auctions, and we always encourage bidders to take advantage of this. We do take a good look at those vehicles which are delivered to our premises for sale, but this only results in our unbiased personal observations, not those of a qualified inspector or other professional, or the result of a long test drive.

Also, localised paint repairs are common with collectable and classic cars and if they have been professionally carried out then they may be impossible to detect, even if we see the car in person. So, unless we state otherwise, please assume that any vehicle could have had remedial bodywork at some point in its life.

Additionally, please note that most of the videos on our site have been recorded using basic cameras which often result in 'average' sound quality; in particular, engines and exhausts notes can sound a little different to how they are in reality.

Please note that this is sold as seen (Caveat Emptor) and that, as is normal for used goods bought at auction, a return policy does not apply. See our FAQs for more info, and feel free to inspect any vehicle as much as you wish.
